For the blueberry jam, wash and drain the blueberries. Squeeze the lemon. Mix the blueberries with the lemon juice and the preserving sugar and bring to the boil.

Bring the jam to a bubbling boil, then use a hand blender to chop the fruit. Make the jelly test and pour the mixture into prepared sterile jars and turn them upside down. Allow the blueberry jam to cool and store in a cool place.
