A cake recipe for all foodies:
1. drain the apricots. Collect the juice. Cut apricot halves in half. Coarsely dice the marzipan.
Mix fat and marzipan well. Stir with salt, sugar, vanilla sugar and citro-bake until creamy. Gradually fold in the eggs. Continue to stir until the sugar has dissolved.
3. mix flour and baking powder. Sift onto the fat-egg mixture and fold in briefly. Stir some of the apricot juice by the tablespoon into the dough until it falls from the whisk with difficulty tearing.
Grease a baking tray. Spread the batter on it. Spread the apricot wedges evenly over the batter. 5.
Bake the cake in a heated oven (electric oven 175, convection oven 150, gas mark 2) for 45-50 minutes. After baking, sprinkle evenly with hail sugar. Cool.
