Instructions:

Sift flour and cornstarch (cornflour) into a large enough bowl, add the liquid beaten with the egg. Season the thin dough with salt and let it rest for 1/2 hour. Heat fat in a frying pan, rub with half an onion or pork rind and bake quite narrow pancakes. When cool, roll up the pancakes, cut into tender strips and add to the simmering clear soup just before eating.

Our tip: Use bacon with a fine, smoky note!
