Peel and chop the onion and potato.

Sauté the onion in the oil until translucent and pour the soup.

Add the potato pieces, bay leaf and caraway seeds and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Remove the bay leaf from the soup, add the cream and mash the soup until there are a few potato pieces left.

Season the cream of potato soup with salt and serve.
