This sauce is the base for a wide variety of pizza recipes. It can also be used for tomato spaghetti.

Cut off the stalk from the tomatoes, quarter the small ones, cut the bigger ones into eighths.

Heat the oil, add the tomatoes and steam on low heat for 10 minutes. Stir well, otherwise the sauce will burn, season with salt.
