Instructions:

Rinse and chop the dried fruit about 1 hour beforehand and soak in water.

Let the water boil. Rinse the millet in a fine-mesh sieve for a long time. Add the millet and salt to the simmering water and cook on a very low heat for 25 minutes until all the water is absorbed and the millet is nicely swollen.

Add the soaked dried fruit with the soaking water and the whipped cream to the millet. Stir everything well and fill into small dessert bowls.

Conjure up a face on the pudding not only for kids. 2 almond nuts for the eyes, 1 almond for the nose, form a mouth with the cinnamon, use the chufas nuts for the hair.

Variation 1:

Instead of soaked dried fruit, stir in small pieces of alkaline fruit.

Variation 2:

Make millet as described above. Instead of whipped cream, fold in a little bit of butter. Now stir in chopped chives, dill, parsley or other chopped vegetables, or make them on the spot with the millet as a so-called hirsotto.

Our tip: Fresh chives are much more aromatic than dried ones!
