A great cake recipe for any occasion:
1. heart mold (metal, width in about 20 cm, from the indentation to the top in about 20 cm) spread with butter and sprinkle with flour. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. grate the orange peel. Cream butter with vanilla sugar, sugar, orange zest and salt until well blended (food processor 10, mixer 15 min), quickly add eggs one by one (machine running at a leisurely pace or possibly wooden spoon). Sift flour with baking powder and fold in.
3. Fill the cake into the pan and bake in the oven (middle shelf) for about 40 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven, cool in the pan for 10 minutes, turn out.
4. stir orange liqueur, sugar and orange juice, heat and pour over the heart. Sprinkle the edge of the cake with pistachios.
Remove the peel from the oranges with a sharp kitchen knife so that the flesh is exposed. Cut oranges into narrow slices (very sharp bread slicer or kitchen knife). Cover the cake with them and decorate with cupid’s arrows (cookie sticks).
Preparation approx. 105 min.
