Instructions:

Gram Dal soak for at least 6 hours, better one night.

Now boil in the soaking water, 40 min If the water is not used up the whole in the cooking, drain and save.

Fry the onion in ghee or clarified butter until golden brown. Add spices and paradeis pulp. Do on medium heat for about 5 min and then add potatoes.

Stir gram dal together with potato mixture and continue to simmer on low heat for 5 min. Add tomatoes, salt, to taste and remaining dal liquid (if needed). Garnish with chiles and fresh cilantro and bring to table.

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
