For golden snitch, first cut out snitch wings from edible paper (see picture) and spray with silver food coloring.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and stir with a rubber spatula lightly greased with butter until completely melted. Be very careful not to burn anything in the process!

Add the Rice Krispies, stir to combine, and let cool slightly. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

With lightly greased hands – the whole thing is a damn sticky business! – Shape the still-warm mixture into small walnut-sized balls. Place on the prepared baking paper and let cool completely.

Once the snitch balls are completely cooled, spray all around with golden food coloring and attach the silver wings to the sides by gently sticking them into the balls. If necessary, use a narrow knife to make a hole so that the wings have enough support.

Serve the golden snails.
