Prepare some lukewarm milk with yeast and a little bit of flour to a dampfl.
Mix an eighth of a liter of lukewarm butter, sugar, milk, a little bit of yolk, egg, salt and a little bit of lemon peel. When the dampfl is ripe, add it with the egg milk to the flour form. Knead into a smooth dough. Add a little milk if necessary.
Cover and let rise for about 20 minutes.
Divide the dough into three on the spot pieces. Roll these into 2 cm thick strands. Braid into a plait. Divide into 4 pieces. Close each braid into a circle, connecting the ends of the dough well. Place on a greased baking sheet.
Rise again by 1/3 with the lid closed.
Whisk one egg with a little water and brush the wreaths with it. Place a dyed hard-boiled egg in the center – like in a nest.
Bake at 160 °C for three quarters of an hour.
