Put flour, yeast, salt and sugar in the mixing bowl and mix. Heat the milk and melt the butter in the warm milk. Whisk the yolks in the not too warm liquid and add schnapps and rum. Add to the flour mixture and mix well to form a smooth dough.

Place the dough in a bowl and let it rest, covered, in a warm place for at least 30 minutes until it has visibly risen. Then beat the dough with a wooden spoon until it blisters. Cover again and let rise until warm.

Shape the doughnuts, let them rise again, then bake them floating in hot fat.
