For the rum balls, let the edge strips of e.g. chocolate slices, broken cookies or cookies dry a bit and either crush them in a food processor or put them in a freezer bag and crumble them with the pasta walkers.

Mix with the nuts and with melted chocolate (or leftover chocolate icing) and add as much rum as necessary to make a well moldable mass.

Roll balls and roll in crumble.
