For the rice casserole with sausages, slice the sausages. Peel and quarter the tomatoes. Mix both with the cooked rice and pour into a baking dish.
Whisk the eggs with the milk, salt, pepper, nutmeg and the chives cut into small rolls and pour over the rice mixture.
Sprinkle the casserole with the grated hard cheese and bake in the preheated oven at 200°C for about 25 minutes. Serve the rice casserole with sausages fresh from the oven.
