For the family: microwave recipe
The first fresh fruit, along with strawberries, is rhubarb. Due to its tart and sour taste, it has recently found many fans. The following recipe shows that rhubarb is not only a pleasure “pure”.
Clean the rhubarb and cut it into 3 cm long pieces. Mix the pieces with the orange juice and the cinnamon stick in a microwave-safe baking dish and cook for 4 1/2 minutes at 500 watts with the lid closed, add the sugar and cook for another 1/2 minute. Bring the milk with the honey as well as the orange zest to a boil for 6 min. at 600 watts with the lid closed.
Add the semolina and stir well. Cook for 7 minutes at 500 watts. Cool the mixture slightly, then stir in the yogurt. Use two teaspoons to make dumplings and arrange on top of the rhubarb compote.
Week. There are several ways to soften the tart flavor of rhubarb. One variant is to add orange peel or juice, as in our recipe. In old home recipes, vanilla or cinnamon is often cooked with the rhubarb. Depending on the further use of the rhubarb must be decided what harmonizes best.
Tip: The higher the fat content in the yogurt, the more aromatic and creamy the result!
