Wash, peel and halve the apples. Remove the core and then dice the apples or cut them into wedges.
Prepare a pot with water. Add lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon bark and cloves to the pot.
Add the ready-cut apples as well and bring the stewed apples to a boil. Then simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
Let the finished apple compote cool down a bit, season it again to your liking – depending on the type of apple and your personal taste, you can add sugar. Allow the compote to infuse.
Only then fish out the cinnamon bark and cloves.
