Lemon Stars

For the lemon stars, crumble butter with flour. Add sugar, egg yolk, grated lemon zest and half of the lemon juice and work into a dough.

Let dough rest for 1/2 hour. Cut out finger-thick stars. Beat egg whites until stiff and stir in sugar and remaining lemon juice.

Brush the stars with it and sprinkle with the almonds. Bake the lemon stars at 160 degrees for about 30 minutes.
