Instructions:

Chop the onion into small pieces. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion. Add the sauerkraut together with the bay leaf spice, juniper berries and caraway seeds and simmer for 15 minutes at medium temperature (add water if necessary). In the meantime, cut the tofu into 1 cm thick slices and season with smoked salt and pepper. Put the remaining oil in a frying pan and fry the tofu slices on both sides at moderate temperature. Peel the potatoes, grate finely, stir into the sauerkraut and bring to the boil briefly. Place the tofu pieces on the finished cabbage.

Additional dish: Potatoes or millet.
