Clean, rinse and halve the fennel. Cook in salted water for 8 minutes. Cut the ham into small cubes and fry briefly in hot butter. Roast the pine nuts. In the meantime, heat the cheese sauce in a saucepan, but do not let it boil, and divide it evenly between two plates. Place the fennel halves on top, evenly distribute the ham and pine nuts over the top and bring to the table with chopped parsley.
