For the currant applesauce, put the currant in a pot and mash it. When some liquid has formed, boil the currant once.

Pass this mixture through a sieve to remove the seeds. Now put the seedless pulp back into the pot and peel the apples, cut away everything bad and the core houses and then boil the apple pieces in the currant puree with as much honey or sugar as you like.

When the apple pieces are soft, puree the mixture. I like to freeze this puree in ice cube molds and have so in winter fine little vitamin bombs for muesli or smoothie.
