Cut six to eight one-millimeter-thin fruit slices from each fruit center. Boil the water with the sugar. When the sugar has dissolved, add the fruit slices and gently simmer everything together for ten minutes. Lift out the lemon slices and spread them out on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment. Cool. Heat the oven to 160 to 170 degrees. Slide in the fruit chips, lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar, and leave in the oven until their surface caramelizes slightly. Lift out, cool and remove from the paper.

The fruit chips keep well in a tin for a few days.

Tips Use only organic fruit for the fruit chips. Other fruits are treated with a wax layer full of chemicals. This wax has the unpleasant property to hardly get out of our body. Thus, the not at all harmless chemicals also remain inside us and accumulate dangerously over time.

Even if the fruit chips may burn a little bit during the baking # they must not burn completely. So this caramelization must be monitored and controlled in detail so that the result is convincing.
