For the marzipan nut sticks, first prepare the filling. For the filling, whip the egg whites and sugar, add the marzipan, mix well, then stir in the nuts and rum.
Spread half the mixture on one sheet of puff pastry, place the 2nd sheet of puff pastry on top. Then cut 1x the puff pastry lengthwise and then cut about 1.5 cm thick strips, these strips turn and live on a baking tray.
Brush the Stangerl with the remaining yolk. Bake at 200 °C for about 20 minutes (until golden brown). Do the same again with the remaining 2 sheets of puff pastry and the remaining mixture.
