Cut potatoes and vegetables into small pieces and place in a pot with 1 liter of cold water. Add spelt grain and season with caraway seeds, nutmeg, peppercorns, bay leaf, lovage and ginger powder. Do not add salt! Now boil the whole thing for 30 minutes. Then let the pot stand covered for some time. Then strain and spoon only the liquid.
