For the lemon asparagus in the oven, preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Peel the asparagus, cut off the ends and place in a baking dish. Mix vegetable broth, wine and sugar and pour to the asparagus. Cook asparagus for about 30 minutes until firm.
Peel garlic and add to butter. Grate lemon peel and add to butter with 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
Arrange the asparagus on two plates and serve with the butter.
