What the Americans call pudding is more like a cake in terms of appearance and baking method. However, one that is prepared with toast.
Toast bread in the boiling milk and soften in it. Beat eggs with sugar and salt until creamy. Add nutmeg and vanilla sugar. Now add dates, raisins, almond kernels and the soaked bread. Mix well. Pour into a greased springform pan. Place in the heated oven. Baking time: 60 min

Mix the powdered sugar with the juice of one lemon. Coat the pudding with it. Melt the cooking chocolate in a water bath. Use a fine smooth piping nozzle to pipe a grid on top of the white icing. Or frost the cake with cooking chocolate only and pipe a lattice on top with the cooking chocolate. In this case, sprinkle flaked almond kernels toasted in butter over the top. Cut into 12 pieces.
