Sift the flour and powdered sugar onto a work surface and add the cold margarine cut into pieces. Add the hazelnuts and egg and quickly knead all the ingredients into a smooth dough. Leave to rest for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of about 3 mm and cut out stars. Cut a hole in the center of half of the stars. Brush the perforated stars with beaten egg and sprinkle with grated hazelnuts. Place the dough stars on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 25 minutes. While still warm, place the cookies on a work surface, place a dot of jam on the unperforated stars using a piping bag with a perforated nozzle, and assemble with the perforated stars.
