Cut washed apricots in half and remove seeds (drain canned apricots). Mix fat, with salt, eggs, sugar and the grated baking powder, flour, lemon zest and nuts to a batter. Spread the dough on a greased baking sheet. Spread the apricots evenly on it with the cut side down. Bake in a heated oven at 225 °C for about 30 minutes. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
