Prepare flour, wine, oil, egg yolks and salt to a smooth dough. Whip egg whites with sugar until stiff and gently fold into the dough.
Remove the skin from the apples and cut into 1 cm slices (without the core). Sprinkle with juice of one lemon and rum and dust with powdered sugar. Dip in wine dough and bake in 180 °C hot clarified butter for about 3 minutes. Drain and sprinkle with vanilla sugar.
Tip: Instead of clarified butter, you can also use butter in most cases.
