Sweet Pumpkin Strudel

For the sweet pumpkin strudel, first prepare the strudel dough according to the basic recipe or use ready-made dough.

Line a baking tray with baking paper or grease it. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds and roughly grate and squeeze the flesh so that it is as dry as possible. Add sugar, cinnamon and raisins and mix well.

Place one slice of strudel dough on the baking sheet, brush with oil and place the second slice on top, also brush with oil and place the last slice of dough on top.

Spread the pumpkin mixture on the strudel dough, leaving enough space at the edges. Roll up the strudel and close the open ends with the overhanging dough. Brush the outside of the strudel with oil and place in the oven for about 20 minutes.

Serve the sweet pumpkin strudel sprinkled with powdered sugar.
