Cut one fresh pineapple into small pieces. Add to a saucepan with 1 tbsp.

Sugar in a saucepan and cover lightly with water.

Simmer gently in an open saucepan for about 10 min. Roast finely chopped onions and pressed cloves, garlic cloves, star anise and cinnamon stick in a frying pan for two min.

Remove the peel from the ginger root, grate it finely and add it to the onion mixture together with a cup of water, a little bit of salt and a tbsp. of sugar Form and do just under four min. Remove the seeds from the chili peppers and chop finely. With the pineapple in the wok form and four min. pull.

Serve as a spicy dessert or as an addition to hot curries. Add 200 g of fried chicken and two cups of cooked long grain rice and you have a main course.
