250 ml milk 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon cardamom 2 tablespoons powdered sugar 2 tablespoons grated coconut.

1. peel the pineapple, remove the woody stem and cut into rings or pieces. Warm the milk until lukewarm.

Mix baking powder, cinnamon, flour, and cardamom in a baking bowl. Add lukewarm milk and stir everything together to form a thick batter.

Heat the ghee or clarified butter in a wide saucepan. Pull the pineapple pieces through the dough, drain briefly and bake in batches in the hot fat until golden brown all over.

Lift out the doughnuts, drain briefly on kitchen roll, sprinkle with powdered sugar and coconut flakes and serve warm.

*Tip: Instead of pineapple, the doughnuts can also be made with other fruit.

Tip: Instead of clarified butter, you can also use butter in most cases.
