Instructions:

Sift flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar together. Add the butter in flakes. Add the sugar and the beaten egg and make a smooth dough. Form the dough into a roll and cut it into large slices on the spot.

Form these into round balls and place on a baking sheet. Flatten with a fork, brush with egg and sprinkle with chopped almonds and hail sugar.

Bake at 180 °C for 10 min until golden brown.
