Quarter white cabbage and remove the stalk, then cut into tender strips. Blanch in boiling soup cube with a little bit of caraway and then drain well.

Knead the minced meat with the breadcrumbs, spices, egg, finely chopped onion and garlic clove thoroughly.

Grease a gratin dish with butter, alternate layers of cabbage, a layer of minced meat mixture, so that the last layer is cabbage. Finally, spread enough butter flakes evenly on the casserole and cook in the heated oven at 180 degrees for at least # hour.

This goes well with fried potatoes, mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes or just stick white bread.
