Leave the fresh, chopped fat in the frying pan, add the apple and a little salt. Later fry the whole well. Pass the fat through a sieve and then add the lard to solidify. In order to obtain a good spreadable fat, take one third of lard for 2/3 of goose fat. After cooling, the fat is an excellent spread. Goose fat slices taste exceptionally good when topped with hard cheese.
