Instructions:

Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove the peel from the ginger, cut it very finely into cubes with a sharp kitchen knife or grate it finely on the fine side of a household grater or cut it into very narrow strips. Place ginger pieces in a fireproof jar.

Pour the boiling water on top, add the tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
