A bean recipe for every taste:
1 baking tray yields about 120 pieces.
Steep the coffee in water in a small saucepan for about 2 to 3 minutes, then filter with a coffee filter and pour into a suitable bowl. Add the butter to the hot coffee and let it cool down a little.
Mix the baking powder, sugar, wholemeal flour and spices and add to the coffee-butter mixture. Add the eggs and sour cream and mix thoroughly.
Spread the dough on a well-greased baking sheet and bake in a heated oven at 200 °C for about 30 minutes. If there is still a lot on a wooden skewer, bake the dough for another 5 to 10 minutes.
While still warm, cut the dough into strips and cut these strips into rhombuses of about 3 x 4 cm. Remove from the baking sheet while still warm and cool on a wire rack.
Melt the cooking chocolate or chocolate in a water bath according to the instructions, coat the rhombs with it and top each with a mocha bean.
