Finely grind all spices except turmeric in an electric coffee grinder. An alternative to the coffee grinder is a blitz chopper, a hand mixer or a mortar. Place the spices in a large enough bowl and stir in the turmeric well. Place the curry powder in a light-protected container and seal well.
This curry is very suitable for the preparation of vegetable dishes. It is available as a ready-made mixture under the name “Madrascurry” in Asian stores.
