A cake recipe for all foodies:
Pit dates and cut into narrow strips. Whip the egg whites until stiff. Gradually add powdered sugar, continuing to beat constantly. Fold in almond kernels, date strips and cinnamon.
Preheat oven to 175 °C (gas: level 2). Spread out an appropriate number of trays with the wafers. Use two dampened teaspoons to place small mounds on the wafers.
Bake in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
Cool on a cake rack.
