15 to 20 kumquats (miniature oranges).

Rinse kumquats, rub dry and pierce a few times. Fill a nice glass full with cloves, cinnamon stick and slit vanilla stick. Bring white wine and sugar to a boil and simmer uncovered over low heat for 10 minutes. Mix in rum and pour immediately over the fruit in the glass. Close well when cool and keep chilled. Delicious with pastries, desserts, tea, punch and/or ice creams. 6 months shelf life Glass previously well rinsed, dried and “sterilized” in the oven at 180 ° C. Practical: jars with screw cap.

Note: Do not forget the famous spoon in the glass when pouring and a wet cloth under the glass – then nothing will break so quickly.
