For the pasta and herb salad, cook the macaroni in boiling hot water with 1 tbsp olive oil until al dente. Drain, rinse, drain well and set aside.
In a larger pot, steam the finely chopped red cabbage in lightly salted hot water for 5 minutes.
Cut white cabbage just as finely and steam, drain properly and set aside.
Cut bacon into cubes and fry in a pan until translucent.
Now in a large bowl mix noodles, red cabbage and apples. Add white cabbage, fried bacon and season the pasta and cabbage salad with oil, vinegar, sugar, pepper, cumin and salt.
