Boil the chestnuts in the soup together with a sprig of marjoram for ten minutes, add 3/4 of the cream and bring to the boil again. Season with pepper, salt, nutmeg and turmeric.

Before serving, puree the soup with a hand mixer and add the remaining cream and finely chopped marjoram.
