Instructions:

Sort out dal and rinse thoroughly, soak for one hour. Prepare dal with 3 cups of water, turmeric and salt until the dal is cooked. However, the dal must remain grainy. In another frying pan add asli ghee, brown onions in it, spread evenly over dal and bring to table sprinkled with garam masala.
