Bring the orange juice and the grated orange peel to the boil with a little sugar, thicken with cornstarch to make a thick cream, bring to the boil once and then cool.

Beat the butter with the powdered sugar until creamy, add the cooled orange cream by the spoonful, the cream should be spreadable.

Spread the wafer thickly with this orange cream and assemble the individual layers.

Melt the chocolate icing in a hot water bath and cover the entire cake with it (it is held together by the icing). Garnish with orange slices.

Tip: Do you prefer milk chocolate or dark chocolate? Depending on the case, use whichever you like better.
