Instructions:

Place Römertopf in tap water for 15 min. to allow it to soak. Coat the ready-to-cook chicken completely with mustard and place it in the empty Römer pot. Grind the peeled garlic clove on the inside wall of the clay pot, sprinkle the chicken with ground pepper and salt.

Apply the washed kitchen herbs on the chicken and put a few also in the chicken. Pour olive oil over it and close the cooking pot. Put the clay pot into the cold oven, then heat it up to the highest temperature (250 degrees Celsius ). Cooking time is about 1 1/2 hours. Then take out the chicken and cut it into pieces. Offer the pieces of meat on a plate and pour the strained cooking liquid over it.

Our tip: As an alternative to fresh herbs, you can also use frozen ones – these also have a fresh taste!
