Try this delicious cake recipe:
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. Fold in 6 eggs, one after the other. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir into the mixture. Add as much milk until you have a viscous dough that falls tenaciously from the spoon.
Peel the beet and grate finely. Grind the amaretti macaroons in a hand mixer, coarsely or possibly finely, depending on your taste. Fold into the dough together with the beet and the almond kernels.
Pour the mixture into a greased cake springform pan or Frankfurter Kranz pan sprinkled with breadcrumbs and bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 200 °C (160 to 170 °C in a fan oven). Rest the cake, remove from the mold and cool.
Frosting: Stir together the powdered sugar, juice and amaretto and spread on the cake.
