This casserole can also be eaten by babies: It is equivalent to an evening milk porridge. The strawberry sauce is used raw, so that the vitamins are not missed. Adults eat the gratin as a dessert.
Boil the milk with the cinnamon stick. Pour in semolina and cook until thick in about 5 minutes. Add 3 soup spoons of honey, cool a little bit in a water bath. Separate eggs, stir in egg yolks. Beat egg whites until stiff and stir in. Grease a shallow gratin dish (about 28 x 10 cm). Pour in half the semolina mixture and smooth down. Strawberries, rinse, drain, hull. Put half of the berries into the mixture, cover with the rest of the mixture and smooth it down. Bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees (gas mark 3) for 15-20 minutes. In the meantime, crush the remaining strawberries with a blender, season with the remaining honey. Cut the finished casserole into pieces and place on a plate. Sprinkle with a little powdered sugar if necessary. Pour sauce over it.
Bake, slide onto a plate, cool, top with strawberries.
