For the apple-maroni strudel, brush the strudel dough sheets with melted butter and place them on top of each other. Peel and finely slice the apples.

Mix with the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the sugar. Mix in the chestnut puree and season with cinnamon and a little clove powder.

Spread the mixture on the lower third of the strudel dough. Beat the egg and brush the edges of the dough with it. Roll up the dough with the help of a strudel cloth and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with the remaining egg.

Bake at 180°C for about 35 minutes.
