Try this delicious cake recipe:

Mix the sugar, egg yolks and salt until creamy. Add the juice of half a lemon and the grated rind. Mix together the ground cloves, cinnamon, grated carrots and the ground hazelnuts. Add the flour and baking powder. Now gently mix the stiffly beaten egg whites into the mixture. Now fill in a Sprigform and in the * cold* oven on the lowest rail form. Set oven to 180 C° and bake for 50-60 minutes.

Glaze powdered sugar, juice of one lemon and water or egg white stir until smooth. Coat the cake with the glaze.

Tip: Instead of the glaze, you can also just sift powdered sugar over it. Rüeblichueche tastes best when it is 2-3 days old. Mix cherry brandy into the glaze
