Instructions:

Soak the rolls in cold water. Remove the skin from the onion and chop, knead together with minced meat, squeezed out buns, egg and thyme. Season with salt and pepper. Form into small balls.

Clean and rinse the melanzani and cut lengthwise into thin slices. Brush thinly with oil.

Roast meatballs on hot grill until crispy all over. Grill the melanzan slices on the grill until golden brown on both sides and season.

Wrap the meatballs with the melanzan slices as desired or serve with them. Crumble cheese and sprinkle on top.
