Perhaps your new favorite bean dish:
Remove the peel from the potatoes, make them in salted water, drain, add butter and sour cream [2], mash everything together to a pulp and stir with milk. Cook the cut beans briefly in salted water, drain and add to the mashed potatoes, forming a thick soup. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Crumble the yeast into the flour and whisk with lukewarm milk to form a dough. Add egg, salt and sugar. Bake the dough in a frying pan with hot oil, garnish with raisins [3].
Divide the soup evenly in deep plates, arrange the cakes – dusted with a little powdered sugar if you like – on small plates.
[2] If you like, you can also add a little lard.
[3] If you wish, you can also garnish the dumplings with thinly sliced apple or pear slices while they are baking.
