For the cheese balls, cut the onion into very small cubes. Heat some oil in a pan and brown the onion pieces over medium heat.

Deglaze with the water, remove from heat. Add salt, bell pepper and paprika, as well as the pressed garlic clove.

Cut the parmesan into 1 cm cubes. When the onion mixture has cooled down, add the eggs and parsley.

Thoroughly knead the minced meat with this mixture and the breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a large pot.

Shape the minced meat into small balls, each with a Parmesan cheese cube in the middle. Fry the cheese balls in the hot oil on about 2/3 heat for about 10 minutes.
